| Dethatching your lawn
-
Controlling thatch is an important and often
overlooked part of having a healthy lawn. Thatch is the layer of dead
and decaying plant material that is found between soil surface and healthy
grass. A thin layer is beneficial but should not exceed one-half inch.
Over years thatch build-up prevents moisture and light from reaching the
roots. Too much thatch also becomes a breeding ground for insects.
Scallon's Lawn Care uses the best in available dethatching equipment.
By letting us remove the thatch you will be able to enjoy a healthier
and more vigorous turf. |
